Winter Serenity
Few experiences are more serene than a walk in a winter forest, quiet and dormant. Snow shoe or Nordic ski the great trails of the Green Mountains. After a day in the forest return to the warmth of the Inn & have an afternoon tea in front of the fire. Allow our staff to recommend favorite entrees from our dinner menus and wines from our wine list. By the end of your stay, we hope serenity has hit its mark.

The Vermont Fly-Fishing Package
It can be argued that Vermont is prettiest when standing in a beautiful mountain stream with a fly rod in hand and the prospect of a trout attacking the selected fly. The Waybury Inn sits at the base of the Green Mountains and across the street from the East Middlebury River. You can walk a couple of hundred feet and wet a line or drive to hundreds of scenic spots to lure the Vermont trout to your line. If you would like the advantage of local knowledge, the Inn can provide a guide service to take you to the loveliest of locations or teach you to cast right on the grounds of the Inn. Whatever your level of fly fishing expertise our package will allow the maximum fishing enjoyment with a minimum amount of effort on your part.

Mudder Nature
Spring in Vermont is also known as "Mud Season", it's the best time of year to ski or bird watch so "spring" on up to Vermont and pay a visit to Mudder Nature. March and April are full of unique activities as Mudder Nature begins its journey from winter to summer. The famous sugar houses of Vermont are in full swing, so don’t be a sap, learn how maple syrup has been made for centuries in the Green Mountains. Take a romantic stroll through the muddy trails of the Robert Frost Interpretive Center and find inspiration in the well known words of this lover of Mudder Nature.
If you need more to muddle on, we can arrange a vast variety of nature experiences, such as, dog sled tours, visits to the New England Maple Museum and actual sugar shack experiences. If you have some other adventure in mind, but it is still a little muddy, give us an opportunity to design an experience that you will mudder about for years.
