Middlebury College is the corner stone of Middlebury and a primary source for the town’s notoriety and vibrancy.  It is a private liberal arts college that was founded in 1800 and one of the oldest liberal arts colleges in the US.  The college offers much to the community and to the visitors that share a few days or weeks in Middlebury.  We are very proud of the college and its architectural variety and distinction, the physical presence of the college campus is an important part of our identity.  But far more important are the students, faculty and administrators of the college that integrate with the town and add an academic influence and youthful energy throughout the community.

As you may know the college has excellent visual and performing art programs and nearly all welcome the public to their exhibits and performances.  The Mahaney Center for the Arts is a beautiful facility on campus and the home of most of the cultural activities.

If sports is more your area of interest, there are first class performances on the gridiron, basketball court, hockey arena, baseball field, golf course, lacrosse or soccer field, swimming pool and track.  The crowds are smaller than the professional sport arenas, the price of admission is less but the level of competition is just as intense.  It is a great way to begin to reestablish your faith in sportsmanship and giving an all out effort for the team.  Please click here for the Middlebury College website that can lead you to all of their programs and services:  www.middlebury.edu
